Saturday Sports for Young Asian People with disabilities


This unique service provides sports and physical activities to Young Asian People with disabilities , improving their physical health, well-being, providing them with team building skills whilst increasing their access to mainstream sports facilities. This project is funded by a grant from The Wembley National Stadium Trust .

Sports for Adult Asian People with disabilities

This service provides sports and leisure opportunities and activities to disabled people, improving their physical health and well-being, and increasing their access to mainstream sports facilities.

These services are carried out with the help of volunteers and additional facilitators.


History:

It also engaged the Asian community in the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics.
This project was funded by John Lyons Fund and London Borough of Brent
APDA provides disability Asian sports sessions in:

  • table top cricket
  • boccia
  • bowling
  • curling
  • tennis
  • football
  • and others.
